Penny Scholey - Office Manager
Ms. Penny Scholey is the Miracles for Kids Office Manager. She comes to us with extensive experience in project management, fundraising, event planning and volunteer recruitment for numerous Orange County nonprofit organizations.
Included in her 20 years of community and nonprofit involvement, she served as a Founding Auxiliary "City 60” Ambassador for Pretend City Children’s Museum, directly operating as Chair of several fundraising events. In addition, she twice chaired the annual auction and gala for Mariners Christian School, as well as volunteering in a variety of leadership roles with Children’s Ministries at Mariners Church in Irvine.
Prior to spending her time advocating for children in the nonprofit arena, she worked for Pan Am and United Airlines as an international flight attendant based in New York, Miami, Honolulu, San Francisco and Los Angeles. During her flying career she was a member of the International Airline Ski Federation; representing both airlines in racing competitions. Her home town is San Diego, where she was an NFL cheerleader for the San Diego Chargers.
Ms. Scholey graduated summa cum laude from Vanguard University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Organizational Management and also has a Volunteer Management Certification.
Ms. Scholey and her two college-aged children are longtime residents of Newport Beach. She is very excited to be part of the Miracles for Kids team and joining in their mission of "changing lives every day”.
