Stephanie D. Morfitt - Wellness Therapist
Mrs. Stephanie Day Morfitt is the Wellness Therapist at Miracles for Kids.
Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, Mrs. Morfitt earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Spanish Literature and a minor in Business from the University of Oregon.
Afterwards, she served a year in AmeriCorps in San Diego and has over twelve years professional experience providing social services in non-profit organizations and government agencies. She is currently obtaining her Master’s in Social Work at California State University, Northridge. Mrs. Morfitt worked for four years directing programs for children and teens with cancer and other serious illnesses, both in and out of the hospital.
She also brings five years' experience working with youth and families involved in the child welfare system. Mrs. Morfitt has worked with adults with life-threatening illnesses and developmental disabilities. Additionally, she has extensive volunteer experience serving low-income and homeless families, children of battered women, and aging adults.
Traveling, spending time outdoors and volunteering are a few of her favorite hobbies.
Mrs. Morfitt resides in Los Angeles with her husband, Neil Everett Morfitt, and their two rescue dogs, Pickle and Scooby.
