Meet Amethyst

(September 2025)At only three years old, Amethyst has faced more medical challenges than most will in a lifetime. After being diagnosed with leukemia, she began an intense treatment journey expected to last two to three years. To ensure she could receive the specialized care she needed, her family made a life-changing decision—Amethyst and her mother relocated from their military base to her grandparents’ home, leaving behind her father and older brother. With the family split across state lines, Amethyst’s care became her mother’s full-time responsibility.

The emotional and financial strain of her diagnosis quickly became overwhelming. That’s when Miracles for Kids stepped in. Through the Lifeline Program, the family received critical support to help cover essential bills. Most recently, they joined the Safe Haven Program, which provides subsidized housing for families facing severe financial hardship due to a child’s illness. Today, the family lives together, reunited at Miracle Manor, just minutes from the hospital—no longer separated by circumstance.

Ongoing assistance from Miracles for Kids helps cover housing and car payments, easing the financial burden so Amethyst’s family can focus on what matters most: her healing. Their story is a powerful reminder of how vital stability, proximity, and support are during times of medical crisis.

There are hundreds of families like Amethyst’s that are going through unimaginable struggles. Whether you give $1 or 1 hour of your time, YOU can be their miracle. Take action today!
