Meet Christian

(October 2025) – Christian was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder before his birth, a condition that has a history in his mother’s family. His parents collaborated closely with their doctor and underwent various tests during the pregnancy to prepare for potential outcomes. Their worst fears were confirmed when doctors diagnosed Christian with Neurofibromatosis Type 1.

Now six years old, he faces numerous daily challenges, including an inability to digest liquids or solid foods independently, relying entirely on medical assistance. A mutation on chromosome 17 causes his body to produce abnormal proteins, and he is currently undergoing chemotherapy in an effort to slow the disorder’s progression.

Having spent much of his young life in hospitals, Christian experiences significant anxiety at the prospect of additional hospital stays. To alleviate some of the family’s financial burden, Miracles for Kids is assisting by covering part of their rent through Bill Pay in our Life Line Program, providing Christian’s father with essential support as he strives to care for his family during this challenging time.
