Meet Dailani
(December 2025) – At just two years old, little Dailani has already faced more than most children her age. Her journey began with repeated emergency room visits after her mother noticed concerning changes in her health and alarming digestive symptoms. When answers remained unclear, her mom advocated for further testing. That persistence led to the life-changing diagnosis of rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare cancer that affects soft tissue and skeletal muscles.
Soon after diagnosis, Dailani underwent surgery that required the removal of her bladder and began weekly chemotherapy treatments. Despite side effects such as nausea, digestive complications, and limited mobility, she continues treatment with remarkable strength, supported by a family hopeful for healing and remission.
As Dailani fights for her health, her family faces overwhelming challenges. In addition to extended hospital stays, the family endured frequent travel from Las Vegas, where her dad worked, to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles to ensure Dailani received the specialized care she needed. The demands of constant appointments ultimately led to her father losing his job, followed by the heartbreaking loss of their home. Today, the family is living in a shelter as they work toward stability.
Dailani’s family connected with Miracles for Kids in November and is now working with case managers to access additional services. In the meantime, immediate support is being provided through critically-needed grocery gift cards – helping ensure the family can afford nourishing meals during this difficult time. This early assistance offers immediate relief when it is needed most.
There are hundreds of families like Dailani’s that are facing unimaginable challenges. Whether you give $1 or 1 hour of your time, YOU can be their miracle. Take action today!
