Meet Sebastian
(November 2025) – For months, 18-year-old Sebastian experienced alarming symptoms—hearing strange noises, losing his vision, and struggling to walk—while doctors searched for answers. After numerous appointments and growing concern, an MRI finally revealed the cause: a brain tumor. He was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery.
Around the same time, Sebastian lost his ability to see, hear, and walk. Since then, his mother and younger siblings have devoted themselves to his care. His recovery from brain surgery has been long and difficult, and he is now undergoing chemotherapy. He also takes medication to relieve pressure caused by the tumor, with the hope that treatment will shrink the mass and ease his symptoms.
Sebastian’s diagnosis has reshaped life for the entire family. A dependable helper at home, he often stepped in like a second parent, supporting his mom while she worked. Now, those roles have reversed as the family navigates a new reality—leaning on one another and facing each day together.
Sebastian’s mother, a single parent, has had to step away from work to provide full-time care. While her eldest child helps when possible, the family is under significant financial strain.
Miracles for Kids is proud to support them by helping alleviate their housing expenses through the Lifeline Program, allowing the family to focus on what matters most: Sebastian’s healing and recovery.
